Most homes grow preneed through seminars, mailings and referrals — expensive ways to reach people who are not thinking about it yet. The people who ARE thinking about it were at a service last week, and they signed your book.
Tell us where you are and we will walk you through what the guestbook captures, when it surfaces, and what it costs.
One reply from a person. No sequence, no call unless you ask for one.
Preneed simply means arranging and often paying for a funeral before it is needed. You make the choices, the funeral home records them, and the money is held under your state’s rules until the arrangements are used. It is a conversation to have with a funeral director you trust, in person — not something to buy from a page like this one. We build software for funeral homes; we are not the right people to sell you a plan, and the rest of this page is written for them.
Everyone at a service has just spent an afternoon thinking about death, in your building, watching how your home handles a family. There is no audience you will ever buy that is closer to the decision than that one.
A guest writes their name in a book, the book goes in a box, and the only people you can follow up with are the ones whose handwriting happened to be legible. Every one of the others was a name you had and could not read.
The iPad asks each guest whether they would like planning information. Opt-ins wait out a mourning window — thirty days by default, yours to set — and then land in your counselor’s queue with a weekly summary. The family is never contacted by us.
